Hot Love Inferno by Nicky Blue

When seven foot ghost warriors are trying to kill you, a multidimensional Basset Hound might be the only friend you need..

A half-woman, half-cockroach fused in a bizarre gardening accident? That would be Mrs Jittery Twitch, dwelling in the shadows of our misdeeds. If in danger, you can call upon her help… all she asks is your soul as payment. But she’s just a legend, so no need to worry.

Barry Harris is a 28-year-old man, still living with his dear old mum in a little flat above a hairdresser. His obsession with Star Trek and the martial arts won’t help him when he’s forced out on a date.
And nobody knows about the weird string of events that’s about to put everyone’s lives in danger. A trio of samurai warriors and the strangest offer of help lead Barry on a perilous mission to save the day.

(This book is the second in the Prophecy Allocation series but works fine as a standalone read.)

I’ve read first two pages of Chapter One. I find the descriptive imagery and ebook typesetting really enjoyable.

I went from no book review request for over a year to foreign requests. Consistency is key. Do what you do, quite well because it might not seem so but the world is watching.

How to Win Friends & Influence People

How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie

Dale Carnegie’s rock-solid, time-tested advice in this groundbreaking guidebook teaches;

*The Six Ways to Make People Like You,

*The Twelve Ways to Win People to your Way of Thinking,

*The Nine Ways to Change People without Arousing Resentment and much more.

It is a recommended read for the Professional ADR Skills and Accreditation and Certification Course Modules 1& 2 hosted by Insitute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC Nigeria).

I was delighted when I got this book this morning. I’d just shared on my WhatsApp, ‘I am tired of people. I just want to read and eat’. My delight was short-lived finding out the Accreditation Exams are on Sunday. But reading this widely raved book and getting professional ADR Skills is exciting. This simply means its going to be a long week ahead. I need to conclude LIE TO ME, DAN by Longrin Wetten and share my review soon. I hope I can submit my due draft for The Spine in Her Back today. Law School is stretching me o.

I shared a gush-fest review of captivating The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid yesterday on my bookstagram. Do check it out Gem!

Yay! Book Mail

I began this week unexcited until yesterday evening. When I opened the goodies my Mum sent to Yola, I was so excited to see my review copy of Lie to Me, Dan by Longrin Wetten published by Penthusia Media (Nigeria) Ltd. Big warm hugs for @ihi_nosen for her patience and efforts. I appreciate her.

“Lie to me. I’ll believe anything you say…” Seventeen year old Marylyn Zhasa is a very ambitious young girl who has her future all planned out. She meets Dan, a charming fellow student whose own ambition is to get her at any cost. Not the kind of girl to stand by and let things happen, Marylyn puts up her well practiced defences against Dan’s unusual advances, in spite of which she gets sucked into a fast paced world of danger and uncertainty, where plans don’t always work out as expected… … A thrilling tale of passion and ambition set in the fascinating world of a Nigerian University.

How sweet is this note? It’s reassuring that you listen and read my creative content.

I like how this book feels like a paperback romance with its brown paper and size. The chapters are titled Gems! I ♥♥ titled chapters. I can’t wait to read this and share my thoughts. Anyway, it’s back to Civil Litigation lecture on Examination of Witnesses.

First Book Mail!

I just braved the Yola sun after my ice cream date to pick up my gift copy of Self Apology by poet, blogger Ezinne Ogwumah. SELF APOLOGY is a collection of short poetry, epigrams and sketched illustrations which talk about self recovery from depression, anxiety, stress and emotional issues by practising the natural act of self love.

Thank you Ezinne and Nnamdi for getting this second copy to me after the first one got lost in delivery at Ikorodu. It was interesting visiting Jambutu Park in Yola. A whole different aspect of the city..and this time I didn’t get missing like last week Monday evening. Yo! Pidgin English is saving me out here o.

Can’t wait to flip through this collection, sniff its pages and fall in love with its words. Hope your Sunday is going great Gems.
