Lagos Bound

Bookie Life Update!

Currently

I’m back in Lagos! As the plane glided towards MMA2 Lagos looked like an architect model of buildings and green but with moving, tiny toy-like vehicles and double parking!

Immediately I arrived I visited Ouida House to pick up a book I’d paid for, How to Write Erotic Fiction and Sex Scenes by Ashley Lister. ‘Read books on writing’, Oyinkan Brathwaite, author of My Sister, The Serial Killer advised while sharing insights on getting published at her booklogue at the festival.

KabaFest

My #KabaFest19 content media job was time consuming, fun and educative. Kabafest trended No.1 on Twitter and No.53 in Nigeria. We’re still getting shout-outs for an immerse virtual experience. It was wonderful working with the team, crew and guests.

I spent an extra week in Kaduna with family, friends and my muse. Being extremely busy documenting the festival, I didn’t have time to do blog updates. Thanks to everyone who followed me and Kaduna Book and Arts Festival on Twitter and Instagram and was immersed in the illuminating experience. If you’d like to experience more watch the live streams here..

Welcome to the new week Gem!

My visit to Ouida House.

I had a swell time visiting my friend, Book Publicist, Amaka at Ouida Books today. I’ll share my more pictures and gist tomorrow. I’ll talk more about the poetry collection I bought during my visit.

A Gem is back in Lagos. The past 72 hours have had me overdosing on affection, compliments, peppery food, laughter, hugs, gifts and gist. Plus, the weather is just a delight.

How was your weekend?
